LSOF: Psalm 63 ( A heart commentary)

Psalm 63

A psalm of David. When he was in the Desert of Judah.

O God, you are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you,
my body longs for you,
in a dry and weary land
where there is no water.

( Lord, without my face to the ground in desperation for a supernatural healing; I am not nothing, I can do nothing, nothing will become of me only sorrow. This world is full of emptiness in every direction, fill me with YOU; and only you!)

I have seen you in the sanctuary
and beheld your power and your glory.

( I have stood in awe at your works, the heavens are filled with your artwork, As well as the glorious things here upon the earth…)

Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.

( Your love is not by condition of my status or position, but by the willingness of Your heart alone. You wanted to know me, you have always loved me, through everything and anything. You don’t expect me to love you, you just desire me to…and Lord I DO! I will stand on the mountaintops if I could and proclaim in tears how much I love you, and want to live for you!)

I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands.

( In every breath that inhales and exhales, I strive to praise you alone, And do everything in your name, by your name, because of your name!)

My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods;
with singing lips my mouth will praise you.

( My soul melts at the very thought of you, at the very thought of your Grace, Mercy, And power! I hunger no more within me, I have been filled to the brim of the gloriousness of you, You carry my heart in your hands with concern for me. A grain of sand that you keep from falling into the wind…)

On my bed I remember you;
I think of you through the watches of the night.

( I have found myself gazing at the heavens for hours, Dear Lord, I have spoken to you in a whisper as I start to dream. You and I have conversations throughout the night. You keep me close, and remind me you are right there at my side.)

Because you are my help,
I sing in the shadow of your wings.

( I am confident that you will shelter me from every fire, and every famine that I will ever have to confront in my life. I rest in you.)

My soul clings to you;
your right hand upholds me.

( I breathe by you alone, and I overcome, by your strength within me, the grace that is sufficient for me in every trial.)

They who seek my life will be destroyed;
they will go down to the depths of the earth.

( Father, there have been plenty of others who have ridiculed me for even speaking your very name, and I pray Lord that you crush their worldly common sense and turn it spiritual. I pray they hear you call. I pray Father that others recognize that this is nota battle for us to win, but for you. You are are strength and shield, and very help in need.)

They will be given over to the sword
and become food for jackals.

( Your Word will set them straight, and their life will be in your hands, You’ve given them warning and direction, if they do not listen, Your Word stands firm even then.)

But the king will rejoice in God;
all who swear by God’s name will praise him,
while the mouths of liars will be silenced.

( All the earth, and heavens shall praise your name, Those who choose not to, will one day come under judgement.)

I love you LORD!!!!
